Gateway Drone Resources was founded and is managed by experienced pilots bringing over 50 years of combined industry experience and expertise in the fields of aviation, civil engineering, emergency response, industrial health and safety, and risk management.  Our experts include certified Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) trainers.  Gateway Drone Resources FAA Part 107 UAS rating pilot training curriculum has been approved by insurance underwriters.

Brian Borton

Managing Partner

Brian is a 37 year construction veteran. His construction experi-ence includes offshore pipeline and structure construction in the Gulf of Mexico. He has extensive experience in Hydrographic Survey and he has been a pioneer in the application of electronic positioning equipment in inland hydrographic work. As a princi-ple in his families construction business he has worked on dams, large buildings and marine structures.

Brian is retired from the Carpenters Union as a Journeyman Car-penter working as a Marine Salvage and Construction Diver, Millwright, and Pile Driver.

As an experienced aviator and corporate pilot, Brian holds a FAA Airline Transport Pilot Certificate and is a FAA UAS Pilot.

Rick Rea

Partner

Rick has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Degree, Marketing Major, from John Carroll University. He has over 43 years of commercial, industrial and aftermarket sales management, customer service management and training management experience. He is an experienced pilot and holds an FAA Private Pilot Certificate, Single Engine – Land and an FAA Part 107 UAS Certificate.
